Roles for Successful Meet
Volunteer Roles - Defined
| Parent Rep | Liaison between head coach and parents. Responsibilities will vary from team-to-team. The parent rep may assist with volunteer coordination, banquet planning/prep, apparel ordering, etc. | |
| DIVING | Dive Referee | Must have a minimum of summer league certification/experience (MCDL, CCSDA, etc) |
| Dive Announcer | Responsible for maintaining the pace of the dive meet through announcing each individual diver, dive, and degree of difficulty for the duration of the diving event. | |
| Dive Judge | Must have minimum of summer league certification/experience (MCDL, CCSDA, etc) | |
| Dive Table Worker | Assist with recording judges scores and verifying accuracy of results for diving. | |
| SWIMMING | Automation | Computer operator -- should be familiar with Meet Maestro/Hytek software |
| Scorer/Verifier | Assist with the computer operator by reading lane timer sheets, confirming the middle times, and checking for accuracy of data entry. | |
| Head Timer | Makes sure all timers understand how to use stopwatches, timing buttons, and clipboards. Starts two watches for every race in case any lane timer misses the start or their watch malfunctions. Steps in immediately when a timer misses a start, a watch malfunctions, or a lane needs assistance. | |
| Assistant Head Timer | Helps the Head Timer check and distribute stopwatches, clipboards, lane sheets, and timing buttons. Like the Head Timer, the Assistant Head Timer starts two watches for every race to provide backup times if a lane timer’s watch fails. Steps in immediately when a timer misses a start, a watch malfunctions, or a lane needs assistance. | |

| Stroke and Turn Judge (S&T) | Must have a minimum of summer league certification (MCSL, CCSDA, etc). | |
| Timer | Lane timer for swimming races. | |
| Runner | Collect lane timer sheets after each event and return them to the automation table. |
